My Review:
This book was such an
emotional journey through hell for the main character Grace, yet Emily
writes so beautifully I never felt depressed or like I didn't want to
finish the story. Grace is an average college student who has blindly
stumbled into the dark & dangerous world of drugs. Surrounded by
other users, Grace feels herself being sucked into addiction & is
too broken to stop it. After falling deeper into the drug induced
labyrinth that has become Grace's world, she encounters situations she
never thought she'd face including an abusive boyfriend & eventually
an abortion.
Grace is eventually hits
rock bottom & waiting there is a love that she's never known was
even possible. Together they attempt to work through their addictions,
but drugs are a difficult demon to fight let alone beat. Can Grace win
the battle against her addiction or will she loose a chance at a brand
new life??
This
is a very deep book with ending that isn't all tied up in a nice neat
bow. It takes the reader through a world that most have never known
& wouldn't want to know. Although Grace faces many serious perils
she retains a childlike innocence about her. I couldn't help but fall
in love with Grace & cheer for her to pull through her addictions.
