Blog Tour: Review and Giveaway Quinn Loftis' "Luna of Mine" (The Grey Wolves Series, Book 8)

Title: Luna of Mine (The Grey Wolves Series, Book 8)
Author: Quinn Loftis

Every life leaves behind a legacy. Every story has a beginning and an end. The Alpha of the Romania Grey Wolves knows this better than most. He also knows it’s the things that transpire to create that legacy and the experiences, triumphs and failures that happen in the middle of the story that matter. His story began a century ago and now a tragedy has led him to his rightful place as Alpha of the Eastern Romania pack. Before he led hundreds, he had to learn to lead a few. Before he sacrificed for all, he had to be willing to sacrifice for any. Before he could be the man destined to save his race he had to be willing to serve them. In order to be raised up he had to first be torn down. There was only one who could do this and live, only one who could light his way when the darkness closed in; his mate, his Luna. This is the building of their legacy, the middle of their story. Their triumphs, their failures, and their tragedy’s that would one day make them strong enough to restore a race torn apart by greed, envy, and fear.

My Review:
Quinn really took her time setting up this story for the reader.  Luna of Mine is a beautiful love story carefully and loving weaved from Alina's point of view.  All the girls go on a girl's weekend and sitting by the fire, Alina begins to tell the others her romantic story....
Just like the other girls, I was completely enthralled by this story!! What a magical enchanted story this was! Full of romance, mystery, danger, true love and deadly secrets that could break them all!!

Alina is a beautiful, intelligent, strong willed girl waiting for her promised mate.  She's not worried because the Great Luna herself has guaranteed her that not only is her mate coming, but together Alina and her mate will change the world.
Vasile is thrust into the very powerful yet extremely difficult role of Alpha of the Romain pack. Vasile knows that there will be some who will challenge his reign and are willing to die in order to take it from him. To help secure his dominance, Vasile must find his mate. Before he can do that, he needs to travel through each village to restore the wolves faith in him. But Vasile carries a dark and possible deadly secret about his father. If anyone discovers this, it could not only threaten Vasile's status it could kill him.
When Vasile comes to Alina's village, it's full force mate mode and he's ready to take Alina as his mate. If only it were that easy!! Due to her young age and Vasile's status, Alina's father has a few rules he enforces upon the couple.
With enemies slowly encroaching ever closer to Vasile he must not only protect himself and his title but also Alina. Will Vasile be able to withstand these threats without losing everything?

What I thought:

As always, I was blown away with the beauty of this book.  Vasile and his overpowering "wolf-ish" behavior, was perfectly balanced with Alina's tender and peaceful spirit.  These two were so amazingly matched it was just a dream to read!! All the deceit and intrigue had me spellbound.  Quinn had plenty of romantic moments to reinforce the bond between Vasile and Alina. Yet there was enough wiggle room for Alina's big and sassy attitude.  She often lightened the mood when it was needed and smoothed it out when Vasile's temper threatened to boil over.

Luna of Mine is an astounding, romantic love story that will remind the reader that true love can overcome any threat.
All of a sudden she felt thoughts pouring into her mind that were not her own, and she tried desperately not to reveal to the three wolves, especially the massive blue eyed one, that she was receiving them.

Slowly, she assumed not to frighten her, they made their way to some of the clothing that had already dried, and each wolf tugged down a pair of trousers with their muzzles. They started to phase right there, and Alina gasped as she spun around giving them her back. Many of the wolves were comfortable phasing in front of each other, but Alina had never liked being naked in front of anyone, pack or not.

“We are decent. You may turn around now, female.” His rich, deep voice rumbled, causing a shiver to run down her spine. She did not miss the amusement that laced his tone. Alina gritted her teeth. He thought it was funny that she was embarrassed by their nudity.

She could feel him attempting to communicate with her through her thoughts but she shut him out. She was not ready for this. She tried to still her rapidly beating heart as she turned around slowly. And when her eyes landed on the three men she took an involuntary step back, not because they were shirtless―and all-be-it quite nicely formed, but because of who they were. She recognized the one who had given her that cloth to wipe her eyes so many years ago, and behind the stern demeanor, she could still see the kindness he possessed. A low growl brought her attention back to the real threat. Their Alpha was finally here. After weeks of waiting and fretting and yearning, there he stood less than thirty feet away.  When she looked at his face, she saw something that she only ever saw on mated males, possessive jealousy.

No, she thought to herself sternly. It cannot be.

“Luna.” Vasile’s voice caressed her skin and she fought to keep the moan that rose up inside of her silent. “Mina.” Her eyes widened as she realized he had not said that one out loud.

She shook her head at him and started to take another step back, but the one who had helped her in the market place held up his hand to stop her. “You know better than to run from a predator.”

His warning seemed to snap her out of her flight mode, and she took a deep breath and steadied herself. For now she would just continue on as if they had shown up and nothing out of the ordinary had occurred. “My father and mother are at the neighbor’s house tending to one of the young males,” she explained making sure to keep her eyes from staying on Vasile for too long. “They should be back shortly if you want to wait.” Silently she begged them not to. “Or I can point you in the direction of the meeting place.”

“We will wait, Mina.” Vasile smiled and it was breathtaking.
