My Review:
I (as always) was sucked right into Q's book from the very start and was consumed until the end!! This book has adventure, romance, intrige and danger. All told from the spunky and sassy point of view of Fae Peri. She tells the reader from the start, if you're faint of heart this book is not for you, boy is she right!!!! These characters get themselves into some very perilous situations I'm not sure how they're ever going to find their way out of. Peri has a lot on her plate in this book. Taking full responsibility for her sister, Lorelle's cruel and vile actions against the wolves and other creatures in the land. Peri knows she must strike out against her own sister, destroying Lorelle is the only way to save all the people she loves.
Speaking of love...... *giggle* The Great Luna has taken it upon herself to mate Peri to Lucian, not only is he a wolf, he's a wolf that has been missing so long everyone thought he was dead. ANNNND he just so happens to be Vasile's ( King of the Grey Wolves) brother! Lucian, is ready to step up and take his place as Peri's mate, but Peri isn't ready to admit that she not only needs Lucian, her body longs for him. This makes for some very hilarious moments to help break up all the intense drama that's running through this book.
Lucian isn't going to allow Peri to risk her life without him by her side and Peri is often annoyed by his "wolf-ish" behavior. Let me remind y'all how protective un-mated ( well mated too) male wolves can be if some one so much as looks at their mate they go a little um.... ballistic!!?? Yeah, these are some of my favorite moments in this book. Peri pretends to be fed up with Lucian's male chauvinistic behavior but inside, she's falling and falling hard for him.
How can Peri save all of Luna's creatures, destroy her own sister and fall in love all in one book?? With a lot of help from some unexpected places, narrowly avoiding impending death, swoon worthy moments and plenty of giggles along the way Quinn pulls it off.
My Thoughts:
Into The Fae was perfection: exciting, thrilling, romantic and at times funny! Quinn isn't afraid to bring her character's to their breaking point in order to make them grow into who she knows they are capable of becoming. She takes her readers on this journey, sometimes it's painful, but it's always worth the heartache because it reminds us and the characters just how vital family and friends are to our survival. This book will remind you of the power of love and just how far it can carry you.
Excerpt:
Sally shook her head as she stared after the retreating fae.
“Does he even realize what he’s in for by being mated to her? I mean I
seriously think she is going to be worse than Jen.”
Costin chuckled. “I would agree, but I would also bet that
Lucian, who has been alone for so very long, does not care how much of a
handful his mate is bound to be. He, like all of us males who have true mates,
is just overjoyed to have found her.”
Sally continued to stare at the now empty doorway, still
sitting in her mates’ arms. “I just hope Peri will realize her own worth. For
all of her flashy confidence that she portrays, she truly doesn’t believe she
is worthy of having a mate.”
Costin kissed her hair tenderly. “Don’t worry, Sally mine,
Lucian will be more than happy to show her just how worthy he finds her. I
think you know from firsthand experience just how much we males like to prove
your worthiness to us.” Sally pinched him and blushed causing him to laugh as
he picked her up in his arms.
They waved to Rachel and Gavril who had been quietly talking
and headed to say their goodbyes to their pack mates, before embarking once
again on another mission. This one they both hoped wouldn’t turn out to be as
dangerous or deadly as their past experiences had been. But then they both also
knew that you had to expect the worst in the supernatural world, and then jump
for joy when something less than the worst happened.
