Blog Tour, Review and Giveaway: Devri Walls' "Wings of Arian"

Title: Wings of Arian (Solus #1)
Publication Date: April 24, 2012
Genre: YA Fantasy

Blurb:
Kiora thought she had never heard a lie until she was sixteen. But she was wrong. Her entire existence was based on nothing but. She thought that evil did not exist. Lie. That magic was not real. Lie. And that the land of Meros was all there was. One more lie.

With Aleric telling her that evil is knocking on the door and that she is the only one who can stop them she has a choice to make. Refuse, or start the wildest most painful ride of her life.
She reluctantly dips her toe into her new existence of magic and threads, dragons and shapeshifters, and the person who wants to take control of it all: the evil Dralazar.

However, this journey was never meant to be hers alone. She will be accompanied by a Protector. To her disbelief, and utter irritation they name the hotheaded, stubborn, non -magical, (albeit gorgeous) Prince Emane. They will have to trust each other with their lives, but right now Kiora would settle for a non hostile conversation.

And now it comes down to this, If you had never heard a lie, would you know when you heard one? Is knowing good from evil innate? Kiora finds herself having to decide who lives and who dies on those very questions.

My Review:

OMG!!!! OMG!!!! OMG!!!! That doesn't even begin to cover how I feel about this book!! I can't even get over the fact that I was able to review it!! "Wings of Arian" has romance, adventure, lies, passion and intrigue. Devri engulfs the reader into the extraordinary and beautiful world and holds us captive until the very end. So what's this story about??

Imagine your world as you know if was a complete lie. That's exactly what happens to  Kiora. Yes only sixteen and her life is crumbling around her. Kiora comes face to face with creatures she never even knew excised. If only that were the end of her problems, the vile ( but hilarious) Dralazar  would love nothing more than to rule over it all.

Now Kiora must take this unwanted  journey on her own, she will have a Protector in the form of the yummy yet irritating  Prince Emane *sigh*. If they want to live, Kiora and Emane must learn to trust each other if only they could stop arguing!  Here's where the story really heats up y'all *giggle*  I loved all the sexual tension and snippy conversations between these two!!
Can Kiora learn to trust Emane and will she long enough to defeat Dralazar? Will they both put their pride aside long enough to follow their hearts?

What I Thought:

There was SO much going on in "Wings of Arian, however I never felt lost or confused.  I adored every one of the characters even the ones I probably shouldn't have (Dralazar) He sent out his little minions to do his job but some how things always seemed to backfire on him.

The love/hate relationship between Kiora and Emane was so entertaining to watch.  They absolutely hated each other but underneath all of that hate there was smoldering passion just waiting for a trigger to explode.

The writing in "Wings of Arian" was so realistic, I honestly felt like I was right there through the entire book. It was all so vivid and breath taking. This book truly has a little bit of something for every one!
