My Review:

Carrie Dowd is a psychic its a painful yet rewarding to be able to help others find missing loved ones.  Carrie's abilities are about to be tested when a desperate family contacts her about their missing daughter.  Carrie is able to see what happened to the family's daughter Faith, but will all the gory details help them to heal or should Carrie glide over the devastation and get down to the truth, Faith has died at the hands of two deranged men.

On top of all of this, Carrie is having some major drama in her own life.  Steven, her estranged husband is attempting to take away her house during their bitter divorce. Luckily she has the help of her clever lawyer Cy Paulson.  She begins to rely on him more and more but soon discovers, Cy may not be all he appears to be.

Can Carrie help Faith's family protect her abilities and herself all at the same time?

"Psychic Perception is fast paced and exciting from begging to end. The first few pages will suck you in and the rest of the pages will keep you until dramatic conclusion!! The characters are original and have their own stories to tell that just helps add to the excitement. This is a MUST read!!

Chapter 1

Eastwood, California

When you have a psychic gift, Don’t hoard it, share it with the world.
As I stood over the bloodied, twisted corpse, my nerves tangled within over how to write the young woman’s tragedy, let alone tell her parents and the world about her. Horrendous images came to my mind of how to describe what happened to her; how it happened, the circumstances surrounding this case, and of course the perp’s name, whoever he might be. It was too daunting while thinking of my soon to be ex-husband. My rigid body sat at the desk as I mulled over what to write. Mine was a sinister life, observing death through my psychic eye while seeing and feeling everything the victim was feeling. My reflections took me back to the haunting dreams that tormented me as I placed my hands on the keyboard and began to type. Inside my head, I knew where Faith would be found. It was not a pretty sight, but it was something that was a permanent part of my life. This need to know took place daily as my mind raced over what to think of next. How agonizing to believe that true evil was out there, waiting for any unsuspecting person to fall into its clutches. I typed fast, and then slowed when an inaccuracy occurred. This assignment was not for the faint of heart, and those who might accomplish it needed to possess a hardened outer shell to protect them from the monstrosities that walked among us. Again, I relapsed into the past, and my musings directed my gaze to where I spotted the manila envelope from the lawyer’s office. I chose to ignore it, but could not. My hand lifted it up and I ran my fingertips over its smooth edge. It was something that I did with every piece of mail I received. Shaking my head, I inhaled and tried not to allow my mind to wander. It needed to be focused on the task at hand, and my fingers began their dance along the keyboard once again. My hands typed what I had witnessed as my stomach did flops. So I continued on, because this job would never be finished if I did not believe that there was some good left in this world.

About the Author:

Candy O’Donnell was born in Carmichael, California where she immediately encountered her grandparent’s dogs. Her parents did not have much to speak of, and her grandparents were always there to pick up the slack. Pets quickly became a huge part of her life and still today many animals reside in her home and stories. At the age of twelve, she wrote her first mini book. Filled mostly with what took place with her mother and her long tedious bout with leukemia. It was a short story told as extra credit when she suffered a sprained ankle and had to be out of school for over two months. School officials refused to believe a word of what she had written until her grandmother, her guardian back then, entered the school with the truth. Everything she had written down was exactly what took place. Unfortunately her mother succumbed to the disease. When she became older, she entered Jr. College while in high school and prepared to become a Veterinarian. That was short lived. To become a doctor required a thick skin and stomach, and she did not have what it took to indulge in continuous death and despair of poor neglected critters. At the age of twenty-nine and onward she delved into the paranormal and wrote many works on the subject. Today, Candy assists others with their inner turmoil by doing Pastlife Regressions & Pastlife Readings. This is something she thoroughly enjoys and will eventually write a book on the subject. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in History and Culture. After living with her aunt and uncle for over five years she wished to explore her uncle’s Native heritage and did so with vigor. She also has 6 Grad units in Criminal Justice. Someday she might go back and finish her Master’s.
