A demon with a pure heart, Micah Condie lives his life by a code of ethics, but breaking that code may be the only way for him to survive. A supernatural entity in her own right, Hope Gentry would do anything in her power to protect her loved ones, but she may be the one who puts them in peril.

When the Demon Impiorum challenges the laws that keep guardians and demons in balance, ancient enforcers of justice intervene. Micah, Hope, and their mentor Jonathan become entangled in a conspiracy that will test even the deepest love and trust.

EXCERPT:

I close the door as softly as possible, whispering, “Hey, we need to keep our voices d–”
But Micah’s not by the window anymore, and he grabs me in a hug. I twist around to face him, noticing that his clothes already feel dry if not a little steamy. But those thoughts drop to the floor along with the towel as he pulls me even closer.
His skin is so warm.
His lips press against mine and are even warmer.
He smells like summer, like the warm air right after it rains. I stand on my toes and slide my arms up and around his neck. One of his hands laces through my hair, and the other presses against the small of my back. His mouth opens, the heat from his kiss transferring to me and melting away my stress from the night.
A tiny part of me wonders why he came back tonight, if something else happened, or if he didn’t want to be alone because of what happened to Jack. But it’s getting harder to think rationally with Micah kissing me like this.

Now for a special treat!! I had the awesome opportunity to interview Micah!! I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed talking to him! To help avoid confusion, all my question will be in pink while Micah's answers will be in gray.  Enjoy!!

Today I'm SO VERY excited to interview Micah Condie from my sweet friend Helen Boswell's book "Mythology" & "Mythology: The Wicked". We decided to meet at his favorite restaurant in Buffalo. Micah says it has the best burgers in NY complete with delicious milkshakes. I'm looking at my menu & calculating how long I'm going to have to work out to work off this food when I hear several girls giggle & whisper.  I look up to see Micah walking toward me. He's even more handsome in person than he is in the pages of his book! I can understand why the other girls are swooning & watching his every move as he walks across the outdoor patio to me. I stand up to hug him.

Hello Micah, thanks for meeting with me today, I know school & things have kept you pretty busy!
Thanks for taking the time to interview me. *pulls out your chair for you* *giggles* Thanks Hun!

The waitress comes by & we both order our meals. She returns with my Coke & Micah's milkshake, smiling widely at Micah backing up slowly. After rolling my eyes I ask,

Now that your fan club is out of earshot, are you ready to start? *wink* Let's start with your childhood, do you have a favorite childhood memory?
I have a lot of good memories from my childhood with the Condies. I guess my favorite memory from when I was a kid was playing hockey. My adoptive dad got me into it and I still remember how he came to all of my games.  Fun!

*shifts uncomfortably in seat, clears throat & takes a sip of Coke* So  um.......*clears throat* So you were placed with the very loving & amazing Condie family when you were very young. Is there anything you remember about your birth father that you wouldn't mind sharing?
It’s no secret that I have a lot of resentment toward him… but I actually had to face up to some of those issues in The Wicked, *nods head* Yes, yes you did! so I don’t mind talking about it. I don’t have a lot of good memories of him. He did have a huge library-slash-study though with tons of books. I used to sneak in there and I taught myself to read when I was five. *raises eyebrows* Impressive!

You're very close to your two sisters, Lina & Dani.  *Insert swooning here ladies* In fact you're an expert bedtime story teller? *giggles* *pats Micah's hand* Maybe I shouldn't bring up things you've told me outside of this interview? *giggles again* Ok seriously though, tell me some things you enjoy doing with your sisters.
I used to love to take them to the movies, go with them to the park, stuff like that. Anything for them. Sounds fun to me!

Besides all the love & support you receive from your wonderful family, you also have your BFF Troy. How did y'all meet?
Troy and I met when we were in elementary school – we were also both in the Boy Scouts and became really good friends because of that.  *big smile and giggle* Yeah, I know… a demon in the Boy Scouts. Hope gives me a hard time about it all of the time. *snort* Yep, I love Hope!

Our food comes & I giggle as the waitress stumbles over herself to get Micah's attention. He doesn't seem to notice as he gorges himself on fries. Giggling I ask,

Any adventures you'd care to share?
Hmm… I’m really just a regular guy, so the type of adventures I have in my “normal life” are just that – normal. There was this one time when Troy and I were twelve and we got lost up in the Appalachians for a couple of days. *gasps and leans forward* It was like a real-life version of “My Side of the Mountain” (one of my fav books from when I was a kid, by the way). *smiles* As for the rest of my demon-related adventures, I’m going to let your blog followers read about them. *winks* *laughs* That's a great idea!

Outwardly you look like your average attractive, popular A student. You but you're hiding a pretty big secret. *smiles* Confess?
Me? Secrets? I don’t have any secrets that people probably don’t already know from reading book one… True.....

What um......'special powers' do you have?
As you know, I can fly, which is my favorite power. *nods* Yes that IS fun! I can run fast, I heal quickly, and I can project thoughts into peoples’ heads. I get a whole new suite of powers in The Wicked, too… Some very interesting powers to say the least!

Being a demon isn't all fun & games, you've had a very difficult time lately. Like you're walking a fine line between good & evil. How do you deal with the pressure?
I guess I deal with it like anyone would. I want to live my life a certain way, and that’s my guiding thought in everything I do. I like that.

Has there ever been a time you felt like giving into the darkness? What made you reconsider?
I face the temptation to “give in” every day, just because of the nature of what I am. What makes me reconsider? My girlfriend Hope, my family, the prospect of having a normal life someday, or at least as close to normal as I can have. All of that keeps me in check.  *sigh* perfect!

The waitress comes to clear our plates & gives us our bill. Lighting fast, Micah pays our bill. Smiling I say, "Thanks Hun, my turn next time!

Let's talk about Hope! Tell me your thoughts when you first met her. *smile*
*smiles back* Hope literally ran into me on the first day that I met her and soaked herself with her water bottle. *giggles* Yes I remember! So I thought she was super clumsy at first… No, just kidding. I thought she was sweet, and I thought she was beautiful (because she is),  *smiles* very! and I knew I wanted to get to know her better.

What do you & Hope like to do for fun?
We like to go out to eat (the girl has an amazing appetite), or hang out with friends, hang out at my apartment. Oh, and go for rides on my Triumph or hit the skies – it’s about half and half these days whether we go flying or riding. You know, the usual stuff *smiles*  Sounds pretty perfect to me!

What's the most romantic thing you've done for Hope? *giggle*
I like to take her on daytrips that are a surprise until we get there. Being able to fly places opens up more possibilities, ya know? Romantic and adventures!!

We'll Micah I'm stuffed & I know you've got other things to do today. So thank you very much for meeting with me today! As always it was fun to hang with you, we'll have to have to do it again soon!
Thank you for having me on your blog! It was fun. Anytime! Let's go fly sometime!

Ok so what do y'all think?? Ready to meet Micah?
