Blurb:

"Sara Smith, a hard working lawyer, thought she found her true love. Unfortunately, that was a huge mistake. Now she goes home at night and avoids people. Until one day her best friend forces her to go to a hockey game.
Lucas Sharp, the Captain of the Chicago Eagles, has focused on one thing, winning the Cup. It was not until a meet and greet after the game that he saw Sara.
After finally going on a few dates Lucas knows that she is hiding something, but Sara won't talk about it.
Will Lucas be able to melt away the ice on her heart and still win the Cup? Or will Sara keep her true-self frozen away from finding happiness.

For this tour I interviewed Sara. To help avoid confusion, all my questions will be in pink and Sara's answers in purple. Enjoy!

I'm sitting in Barnes & Noble waiting for Sara Smith from  Mary Smith's book "Melting Away the Ice". I just love this store because of the book & coffee "smell" (I know I'm strange right??) I'm very excited about this interview because Sara & I have a lot in common. As I'm thumbing through "People Magazine" I see Sara enter & I wave her over to my table.

I stand up, hug Sara & hand her the tall soy latte I ordered for her. "Hello Sara, I really appreciate you meeting with me today!" Oh my its so nice to be here!

"I know you're busy with your sexy boyfriend Lucas & work!" *blushes* Um, yeah I've been a little busy lately.

"Now that you have your caffeine are you ready to begin?"
"Tell me a little bit about your childhood?"
Well, my childhood sucked. The only thing that was good was that my best friend, Rachel was there for me. * frowns*

"Any found memories with your parents?"
No. My parents were very busy with their careers and other community functions. They were not around much. *nods*

"You & Rachel are very close."
We are like sisters

"Tell me about how y'all met."
We were in the first grade and she wanted to use my crayons. Well, if you know her, at all, she pretty much told me she was going to use them. But, later on at recess a couple boys were making fun of my dress and she came to my rescue. After that, she never left my side. "AWWWW I love it!!"

"Have you always wanted to be a lawyer, or was there a significant event in your life that made you decide that was what you wanted to do?"
No, no event made me decide to become a lawyer. I just wanted to help people and make a difference in people's lives. *smiles*

*clears throat, takes a sip of hot chocolate & shifts nervously in my seat* So, *looks at notes & clears throat again* "Are you ready for some difficult question?"
Yes I am ready

"Your ex boyfriend was named Jake." "Tell me how y'all met."
Jake was a partner in the firm that Rachel and I both worked at. I was just an associate when I was helping him work a big case. One thing lead to another and we started dating. It was a fast relationship.

"Jack ended up becoming very abusive with you." "If you don't mind telling me, can you pinpoint when the abuse started?"
It was a few months into our time together that I realized that he would drink a lot. There were a very times that he shoved me and I didn't think of it because he was drinking. * nods*

"You had an incident with Jack that almost killed you." "Explain the events if you will, that led up to you ending up in the hospital."
*sniff* *tear* Sorry, its still hard to talk about, but I will for you. *clears throat* * hands Sara napkin* Jake had lost a very simple case and was drinking heavy that night. I was trying to keep things light and didn't want to upset him. Anyway, he took something that I said the wrong way and then...well, then everything happened. *nods head* "You're very strong."

"As a survivor of an abusive relationship myself, I understand the devastation abuse can cause on ones life." "In order to protect yourself, you shut everyone out of your life." "What do you feel was the catalyst that finally made you decide to make a change in your life?"
Lucas. Lucas was the reason that I changed my life. *smiles brightly*

"Ok, let's move onto your amazingly, romantic, sexy, charming boyfriend Lucas!!"
*blushes* He is sexy, isn't he? *nods & giggles*

"The night you were dragged to a hockey game, changed your life for the better." "Tell me what was going through your head when you first saw Lucas."
Gosh, Rachel dragged me to the game and I didn't want to go at all! I hated hockey!!! But, when I first saw Lucas I thought that he was very handsome, but I didn't really talk to him. At that time, I was avoiding all people, except Rachel. "So maybe sports aren't so bad after all?"

"When was the moment you realized you were in love with Lucas?"
When we took our trip to Canada to meet his family. I fell in love there with him, but I was still too scared to say anything. *sigh*

"What do you & Lucas like to do when y'all have time together?"
Well, I like to cook and we love movies. So, we mainly stay home and just enjoy each others' company. "Fun!"

"Without getting too personal, what's the most romantic thing Lucas has ever done for you?"
Aaww *blushes more* I can't tell you that...*whispers* it's private. *puts hands up* "OK, enough said!" *giggles*
*looking down at my phone I notice our time is up*
"Well Sara, that's all I have for you today." "Thank you so much for meeting with me today, I had a lot of fun!"
I had so much fun too !! Next time, I'll bring Rachel than she can tell all the dirty secrets *wink* "Sounds perfect!"
*stands up to give Sara a hug*
