This is the the second novel in "The Amulet Prophecy"series and an exciting read. Emma's 18th birthday is coming and the Council is becoming more dangerous putting Emma and her friends in great peril. The group heads out on a journey where they will find power, love and danger at every turn. Can these friends band together to face the impeding evil or will it be the end of the Amulet?
What I thought:
I would highly recommend reading book one before you read this book. Although Holly did a wonderful job referring back to the first book, I just felt like I was missing out on how the character's relationships were built and grown. This book was beautifully written and I very much enjoyed the different points of view. It was very exciting to see how other characters felt about the situations they were faced with.

“I have been writing for as long as I can remember. I have been writing in the wee hours of the night when my 6 kids were all babies. With my last one I was inspired by the Red Rock Mountains in Southern Utah. I started writing and my 12 year old (at the time) found it. She wrote on the bottom ‘FINISH IT!!!’ Every day I would write more and she would repeat it.
