My Review:
Rachel doesn't skip a beat & "Hopeless Magic" picks up right where book one left us. Eden's family & friends are pushing her to become a part of the rebellion. However, doing that would mean becoming a traitor to the love of her life & crown prince, Kiran. This young couple is about to have bigger issues than hiding their relationship from Kiran's father. Eden is forced to participate in an Immortal rite of passage that will test her magic & return her home on the brink of death. Just as Eden's life returns to teenage normalcy: full of dances, flirting & petty jealousy, Eden discovers the person she trusted the most, has been keeping a deadly secret from her. A secret so devious, it will change Eden's life forever. Now she's on a mission of revenge. Her target has become her obsession she won't stop until he (or she) is dead....
OMG!!!!!! Rachel!!!! I was so engrossed in this book, I had to stay up late to finish it!!! I found myself crying, laughing & at times even screaming at my iPad (wish y'all could've seen my hub's face!!) This is a fast paced non stop book full of adventure & betrayal. Just when you think you've got Rachel's "plan" for the characters figured out BAM something HUGE, I mean HUGE happens & it changes everything! There's a major twist at the end so be prepared!! I've always loved Eden because she's very determined & goes after what she wants. But at the end of this book, she turns into a bad ass assassin willing to take down anyone stupid enough to get in her way! Think "The Bride" from "Kill Bill" She's on a mission & nothing I mean nothing will stop her!! Approach this book with caution: you'll become SO obsessed you'll forget about your husband & children, they can order pizza right?? Enjoy!! Why do I only have 5 cowgirl hats????
