A life she can't remember.
When Emma Walker wakes up in the hospital with no knowledge of how she got there, she learns that she's been in a coma for six months. Strangers show up and claim to be her parents, but she can't remember them. She can't remember anyone. Not her friends, not even her boyfriend. Even though she can't remember, everyone wants her to just pick up where she left off, but what she learns about the 'old her' makes her start to wish she'd never woken up. Her boyfriend breaks up with the new girl he's dating to be with her, her parents want her to start planning for college, her friends want their leader back, and her physical therapist with the hazel eyes keeps his distance to save his position at the hospital.
Will she ever feel like she recognizes the girl in the mirror?
Why I chose Mason as my Cowboy:
Mason *sigh* If you’re looking for your perfect cowboy, look no farther than Mason. The amount of loyalty and dedication this man has not only to Emma, but also to his family is astonishing! Mason was the first person Emma saw when she woke up from her coma. As Emma’s OT, he worked on her muscles to help keep their “memory” while she was in her coma. After Emma woke up, Mason found himself not only deeply connected to Emma, but also fiercely protective of her wellbeing. Mason became Emma’s lifeline and not only helped her grow stronger physically but also emotionally. Mason even stood up to Emma’s parents when they were aggressively trying to get her to remember the past. He would do anything for Emma, including waking away to help her adjust back into her old life again.
Mason works two jobs he loathes, to provide for an ailing family member to give her the best care possible. He not only sacrifices his wants and needs for this family member, but also puts his life on hold to ensure she is well cared for. On top of all this responsibility, he makes it priority to spend quality time with Emma.
Mason is the only person who accepts Emma for she is after the coma and encourages her to forge her own path in her new life. While deeply in love with Emma, Mason let’s Emma decide how the relationship will flow and doesn’t push her to move forward. Instead, Mason is like a soft, warm blanket for Emma waiting to comfort her. Mason is very respectful to Emma’s parents and he won’t date her until he has her parent’s approval *sigh* I mean who does that? So respectful. Are you as in love with Mason as I am??Go meet him in Wide Awake today!!!!
